Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Base salary range: $139,951 to $151,949 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus great salary packaging options to increase take-home pay
  • Flexible working arrangements may be available

About your opportunity

In this role, you will provide expert clinical leadership and real‑time coordination of unplanned (emergency) surgery across the facility. You will work as a key member of the SAFEST‑SurgiFLOW program, collaborating with perioperative, surgical and emergency teams to ensure safe, timely and equitable access to unplanned surgical care. You will support escalation processes, optimise theatre readiness, minimise avoidable delays and contribute to improved patient flow and system performance. This role also plays a critical part in data‑driven improvement, governance, education and service redesign.

Skills and experience

  • Proven ability to provide expert nursing leadership and coordination within a surgical environment.
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice, relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
  • Ability to integrate quality improvement priorities into clinical services and support a strong governance framework.
  • Advanced leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution and change management capabilities.
  • High level communication to support effective problem solving, decision making and multidisciplinary collaboration.
