Your new role:
Take the next step in your career by contributing your expertise within a busy and progressive Medical Imaging Department, with responsibilities including:
- Deliver advanced ultrasound and/or radiography examinations with a strong focus on patient-centred care
- Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and supervision to junior staff and students
- Support day-to-day operations, workflow efficiency and after-hours service delivery as required
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, protocol development and service enhancements
- Work collaboratively with Radiologists, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, accreditation requirements and safety legislation
About you:
You will be a skilled and motivated imaging professional who brings technical excellence and leadership capability, with:
- Accredited Medical Sonographer (General) status with ASAR
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and eligibility for required registration/licensing
- Advanced clinical knowledge and demonstrated expertise in Ultrasound
- Ability to perform complex imaging examinations independently and confidently
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience mentoring staff, supervising learners and fostering a positive team culture
- Commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
