The Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child and Youth Services directorate is divided into five distinct service areas led by a multidisciplinary management team, each focusing on particular patient groups and their specific health care needs. Services are delivered in the Trinity, Cassowary and Hinterland hubs, across the Cairns & Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS).
About your opportunity:
In this position you will...
- The Nursing Director provides strategic advice and guidance to the Director IMECYS and the (CHDONM) Cairns Hospital Director of Nursing and Midwifery to promote a high standard of professional practice and achieve patient focussed outcomes. In addition to this, the role provides professional guidance, mentorship, leadership and support to relevant nursing and midwifery professionals.
- This role participates in on-call rosters and adheres to the role accountabilities to meet capacity and demands of the services.
- Ensure effective communication and multidisciplinary teamwork in the workplace and with internal/external stakeholders.
