The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Communication Manager to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Lead the delivery of quality communication that enhances the organisation's reputation and brand
- Contribute to the development of the Communication and Engagement team's professional practice
- In partnership with other divisions, ensure key online communication channels are adequately maintained, upgraded or commissioned
- Provide authoritative communication advice to the Chief Executive and the Executive Management Leadership Team
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Whilst not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification and previous experience in internal/change communication or a related field is desirable
- This role requires high level written communication skills, organisations skills and attention to detail
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $140 115 - $150 371 per annum

The Strategic Communication and Engagement Unit oversees the implementation of Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service's communication and engagement strategy, with the objective of enhancing and protecting the organisation's reputation as a world-class provider of health services and a leading employer. It manages production of high-quality communication and engagement activity across a variety of channels for both internal and external audiences, and provides strategic advice to the executive team and other Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service stakeholders. As a multi-disciplinary team, the unit's contribution covers planning for and delivering media relations, issues and crisis management communication, strategic marketing, communication plans for major projects and initiatives, website and online development and content management, publications, multi-media requirements, community engagement and consumer participation, events planning, advertising, branding, logo and policy information.
