About us:

Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) delivers specialist mental health and alcohol and other drug care across Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands, and Banana regions, supporting a population of more than 250,000 people.

Rockhampton serves as the principal service centre, administering the Mental Health Act 2016 and hosting acute adult inpatient facilities. Additional services include an Adult Step Up Step Down facility in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit in Rockhampton.

About the role:

Step into a fast-paced executive support role where no two days are the same. You'll provide high-level, confidential support to the Directors of Nursing and Community Programs and Allied Health, keeping their offices running smoothly and ensuring the Executive and Leadership teams stay on track.

From managing busy diaries and correspondence to screening communications and preparing briefs, you'll be at the centre of the action. You'll also coordinate high-level committees, lead special projects, liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, and assist with HR, payroll, and recruitment processes. This role calls for strong judgement, initiative, and the ability to juggle competing priorities, solve problems, and work autonomously!

About you:

The ideal candidate will be a highly organised and proactive professional with proven experience managing complex diaries and providing exceptional administrative support. You'll bring strong skills across customer service, records management, and contemporary computer systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and HR information systems.

With excellent written communication, you'll confidently prepare complex correspondence with accuracy and professionalism. Your advanced interpersonal and negotiation skills will enable you to manage confidential information sensitively while building productive relationships across diverse teams. Sound like you?

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $8,382 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
