As an Advisor, Role Design and Evaluation, you will provide comprehensive independent role evaluations to the Department of Health and Hospital and Health Services (HHS's) across the State. The Advisor will also provide quality advice to management, staff and other stakeholders on work level, job evaluation practices and procedures to support improved outcomes and governance across business areas of Queensland Health (QH).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide comprehensive independent role evaluations using job evaluation methodologies to determine a classification level across different streams.
  • Provide advice on policies and practices to stakeholders across QH, including timely and well researched advice on job evaluations in accordance with departmental policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in significant human resource management programs, projects and initiatives, consulting with managers and stakeholders on appropriate role development and evaluation process.
  • Undertake role and job evaluation governance activities to monitor and support the application of the approved job evaluation methodologies and guidelines.

Role fit:

The Advisor, Role Design and Evaluation will be a subject matter expert in role evaulations, including managing complex evaluations, promoting and developing best practice evaluation services. We're looking for someone who has demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement in interpreting information, applying the JEMS methodology, and effectively explaining well-reasoned interpretations. You will have high-level communication, negotiation and influencing skills to present appropriate options, and recommendations, facilitate discussions, collaborate with clients, and provide well-informed advice in accordance with QH policies.

• Accreditation in the Mercer Job Evaluation methodology is required to perform role evaluations.
