What your day could look like
As an Operational Services Officer, you'll be a vital part of the team that keeps care flowing safely and respectfully for patients and staff. Your work supports dignity, comfort and wellbeing across the health service, helping create an environment where people feel cared for and supported.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Creating safe, clean and welcoming spaces that support patient comfort and infection prevention
- Supporting patients and clinical teams with transport, movement and non-clinical care assistance
- Keeping essential services running smoothly through equipment handling, logistics and site support
- Working collaboratively to respond to day-to-day needs and unexpected situations with calm and care
Let's Talk About You
You're someone who takes pride in doing meaningful work and understands that the small things make a big difference. You show compassion in how you support others, integrity in how you approach your responsibilities, and dignity in every interaction. You're practical, reliable and calm under pressure, and you feel proud knowing your work helps patients feel safe and respected.
You're not just here to get the job done — you're here to support a community, contribute to a trusted health service, and live the values of compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage every day.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- A current C class driver licence and ability to meet health and safety requirements
- Confidence with physical tasks, manual handling and working across varied environments
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail and respect for safety, hygiene and procedures
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in healthcare, aged care or similar service environments, and/or exposure to rural or regional work settings.
In this role, your contribution helps ensure safe, respectful care — and that's something worth being proud of.
