What your day could look like
As a Registered Nurse – Specialist Outpatient, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients and families to access safe, coordinated and person‑centred care close to home. From delivering high‑quality clinical care to collaborating across disciplines, your work will directly improve health outcomes and patient experience across the service.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering comprehensive, evidence‑based nursing care that supports positive patient outcomes
- Working collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues to coordinate care
- Exercising sound clinical judgement while supporting and guiding less experienced staff
- Contributing to continuous improvement, quality initiatives and a positive workplace culture
Let's Talk About You
You're a registered nurse who brings both capability and heart to your work. You value relationships, take pride in your professionalism, and approach each day with compassion, integrity and courage. You enjoy working autonomously while staying connected to a wider team, and you're motivated by making a real difference for patients and your community. In this role, you'll feel proud knowing your expertise helps deliver safe, respectful and innovative care where it's needed most.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant professional authority
- Solid clinical experience and confidence in delivering evidence‑based outpatient care
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- A commitment to learning, reflective practice and quality improvement
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in specialist or rural health settings and/or postgraduate study relevant to your clinical practice.
Above all, we're looking for someone who lives the values of Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage, and wants to build meaningful connections while delivering care that truly matters.
This role offers the chance to make lasting impact for patients, the service and the community you serve.
