Your opportunity:
- The Staff Specialist Neurologist will deliver high-quality neurology care within the Fraser Coast Department of Medicine, including outpatient clinics, inpatient services, and consultation to medical teams.
- The role will provide clinical leadership for the acute and subacute stroke service, support the development and reporting of on-site neurophysiology (NCS/EEG) services, and contribute to education, research, audit, patient safety, and service planning.
- This position works collaboratively within the General Medicine team and reports to the Clinical Director of Medicine.
Opportunity for Private Practice:
The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals. The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with:
- Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow establishment of practice and referral pathways
- Assistance with credentialling and administrative support to commence private practice
- Introduction to local GP's, physicians and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways.
