About us:

Babinda Multi-Purpose Health Centre provides emergency and general medical services and is co-located with residential aged care capacity. Babinda Medical Practice is accredited against the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Standards for General Practices (5th ed) meeting the standards to be a Rural Generalist training facility. It provides the primary rural and remote and primary care training components with both the ACRRM and RACGP colleges.
 
As well as 11 inpatient beds, the facility also offers supporting clinical and diagnostic services such as allied health, x-ray, and pharmacy services.
Supporting a population of 1100 residents, Babinda is 50 minutes drive south of Cairns and is known for the spectacular Babinda Boulders swimming hole, hiking trails, kayaking and beautiful rainforests.

About your opportunity:

  • Provide support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role modelling and promote cooperation and collaborative teamwork.
  • Act as a clinical and educational resource within an area based in knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Participate in developing and undertaking quality initiatives, clinical audits, clinical trials, and research.
