About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Apply high level knowledge and skills in contemporary Social Work practice, and DFV expertise to deliver training and education aligned to the DFV Specialist health workforce program and non-routine, clinical duties including rapid clinical assessments and intervention planning for individuals and families experiencing DFV.
  • Knowledge in the areas of Domestic and Family Violence and Health legislation to inform integrated responses with appropriate safeguards, development of training and work practices and reporting on enhanced clinical outocmes for those most at risk of experiencing DFV.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and manage own time to meet and provide high level DFV advice to senior staff, multidiciplinary teams and other stakeholders. Demonstrated initiative in the colloborative development of education and training programs and protocols that support the DFV reform program for the health workforce.
  • Effective communication and service engagement skills to deliver DFV training, contribute to writing of procedures, briefs and reports. Developing and engaging in self-directed, professional development of self and supporting the orientation of others in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to self-development and clinical supervision skills for social workers and students to enhance care delivery, and assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of quality and service improvement and or colloborative research activities that enhance the delivery of DFV services relevant to the DFV Specialist Health Workforce Program.
