About the Team

The Assistant Director of Nursing – Integrated Ambulatory and Speciality Care Services is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality tertiary and quaternary ambulatory care within the Division of Medicine, Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQ HHS).  The Division of Medicine provides general and specialist paediatric care to children and young people living in Queensland and Northern New South Wales.  The Division of Medicine also delivers state-wide paediatric speciality services, including rehabilitation medicine, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, oncology and haemophilia services.

About the Role

The Assistant Director of Nursing – Integrated Ambulatory and Speciality Care Services provides strategic, professional and operational nursing leadership for specialist nursing groups across the Division, including ambulatory and outpatient services within the Division of Medicine. The role has a strong focus on advanced practice nursing leadership, ensuring nurse practitioners, clinical nurse consultants and nurse navigators are supported to practise at the top of scope, deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, and contribute to service innovation and system improvement.
