Team Leader Learning and Organisational Development Advisor

About us:

Central Queensland Health's Workforce Division plays an integral role in the effective management of the people resources for our service. The Division takes the lead role in the attraction, retention, learning and development, performance, discipline, change management, safety and wellbeing, and engagement of our most important asset – “Our People”.

The Workforce Division unit comprises approximately 50 human resource practitioners who provide a high quality, client focused and value adding human resource service to management and staff throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. 

About the role:

  • Provide operational leadership, direction and coaching to the team, ensuring the effective planning, coordination, facilitation of training and delivery of organisational development initiatives that meet objectives, quality standards and agreed timeframes.
  • Drive the implementation, continuous improvement and evaluation of organisational development programs and initiatives, leading the team to apply contemporary approaches and fostering strong stakeholder relationships to support capability uplift, cultural development and organisational performance across Central Queensland Health.
  • Lead and manage organisational development projects of significant scope, ensuring they align with organisational priorities and are delivered through effective planning, stakeholder engagement and timely execution.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of briefing notes, high level reports, submissions, promotional and project related communication, and correspondence in support of the non-clinical learning and organisational development needs of Central Queensland Health.
  • Actively contribute to the implementation and review of a workforce development framework and programs, reflective of organisational cultural directions within Chapter 2 Public Section Act 2022, and to support and improve performance across Central Queensland Health.

About you:

  • While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in Education, Adult Learning or Training would be well regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate a high‑performing team, providing clear direction, coaching and support to ensure the effective delivery of organisational development, capability and culture initiatives across a complex health service environment.
  • Proven experience in managing team performance, resources and workflows to achieve project and initiatives within agreed timeframes, while fostering a collaborative, inclusive and accountable team culture that supports innovation, continuous improvement and high‑quality service delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, monitor, review and evaluate the effectiveness of organisational development and learning activities; through detailed analysis and reporting of statistics, training needs analysis and other related reporting requirements; and presenting findings and recommendations to Executive and Managers.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $152,772 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $63.04 - $67.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
