About the role
You'll work closely with experienced coders and health information professionals in a supportive, collaborative team environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Clinical coding – abstract and verify relevant information in the clinical record; assign accurate ICD-10-AM codes and perform DRG grouping according to the Australian Coding Standards, State Coding Authority and legislative guidelines within designated timeframes at Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals and Bribie Island Satellite Hospital.
- May assist the Senior Health Information Manager with the end of month data extraction for Caboolture and Kilcoy Inpatient data.
- As part of the coding process, complete Queensland Cancer Registry notifications and collect/flag clinical indicator and audit data.
