The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Cancer, Blood Disorders and Respiratory) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Hold advanced clinical, problem solving, planning and coordination skills in the care of both oncology and haematology cancer patients
- Have advanced experience working in cancer services and the delivery of anticancer treatments and supportive therapies
- Works collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Facilitator and Nurse Educator to maintain a quality service.
- Provision of advanced clinical advice and education to support patients and family/carers in cancer services
- Maintain safety of recipients of heath care services, identify risk and maintain safe work activities within the clinical environment
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and permanent part time (up to 76 hrs p.f. available, hours negotiable).
- Base salary ranging from $113 979 - $122 048 per annum
- Base salary ranging from 57.48 - $64.55 per hour

The Cancer & Blood Disorders Ambulatory Care Unit (CABDAC) is comprised of three areas; 32 clinic rooms in outpatients, 30 treatment chairs in Day Unit and 2 apheresis treatment chairs.
