About us:

The BreastScreen Queensland Cairns Service provides a free population-based mammography screening service to women over 40 years of age. The catchment area includes Cairns, Innisfail, Tablelands, Cape York, Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula and part of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service covering an area of approximately 380000 sq kms.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will ...

  • Monitoring the quality of BreastScreen imaging services throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service districts (CHHHS) and lead the implementation of service improvement, evidence-based practice and research initiatives.
  • Supervise and manage staff utilising quality human resource management practice with reference to employment equity, workplace health and safety and anti-discrimination requirements.
  • Advocating for and leading change to models of service to improve quality and efficiency of imaging services delivered, aligning with budgetary expenses.
