The role:
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of fee-for-service, overseeing multidisciplinary ICT teams of program and project leaders and specialist resources to deliver commercially sustainable, high-impact services.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver client-focused clinical ICT services aligned to customer needs and contracted outcomes
- Ensure programs meet agreed service levels, quality standards, and performance expectations
- Drive financial sustainability through effective commercial management and cost recovery
- Maintain alignment with enterprise architecture, governance, and regulatory requirements
- Build strong client and stakeholder relationships to support service growth and ongoing value delivery
Are you right for this role?
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated high level leadership, conceptualisation and design of programs comprising multiple large Fee for Service, complex and high-risk programs.
- Demonstrated program management skills and experience through all phases of the life cycle, with a proven record of achieving successful and effective program outcomes that are aligned with organisational objectives within a large, complex and distributed service delivery organisation.
- Proven ability to lead, manage and nurture multi-disciplinary project teams, and demonstrated experience in managing a major program budget in the development of successful enterprise solutions, that are responsive to customer needs and sustainable in a large, complex organisational environment, preferably in health care.
- Demonstrated superior negotiation, consultation, facilitation and written communication skills, with the proven ability to develop effective working and strategic relationships and partnerships with a wide variety of senior internal and external stakeholders in an overall environment of change and evolution.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge and application of project management methodologies, and the development of associated tools, templates procedures etc. that enable projects to be managed in a consistent way.
- Sound knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Queensland Health's IM/ICT strategies, architectures, formal project management approach and formal reporting framework and their impact on health service delivery in Queensland.
