About us:

Welcome to Biloela Hospital — where big care meets small-town heart. Proudly serving Biloela and the Banana region, we provide a wide range of hospital and visiting specialist services close to home. Guided by our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders vision, we're growing into the region's hub for emergency, maternity, diagnostic, and surgical care — with Telehealth helping bring even more services within easy reach.

Our 20-bed hospital supports both inpatients and outpatients, offering emergency care, obstetrics and midwifery, and general medical and surgical services. A strong network of support services — including radiology, pharmacy, mental health, physiotherapy, and more -  ensures well-rounded care for our community.

At Biloela Hospital, we're here to keep our community healthy, supported, and close to home.

About the role:

Please note: No remote work available for this role – required to be onsite.

You're a natural communicator who connects easily with patients, clients, and staff, making complex information simple and approachable. Backed by strong clinical expertise, you understand patient needs, progress, and outcomes, and work closely with clinicians to drive meaningful improvements — especially in the ever-growing world of Telehealth. You're tech-savvy (or quick to learn), confident using videoconferencing tools and sharing that knowledge with others.

As a true Telehealth champion, you will help clinics run smoothly across outpatient, inpatient, and community teams, while also keeping everything organised behind the scenes - from coordinating bookings and preparing patients to ensuring each consultation runs seamlessly and follow-up care is on track.

About you:

You'll need a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – plus a valid annual practising certificate (the essentials!).

We're also looking for someone with at least 12 months' post-registration experience in an acute setting – so you know your way around a busy ward and can hit the ground running.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $47,106 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $44.06 - $56.51 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading

Additional Benefits:

  • Ongoing Professional Development and Education Opportunities
  • Flexible Work-Life Balance and Variety
  • Generous Salary Sacrificing Options
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Discounted Private Health Insurance
  • Fitness Passport

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements:

It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases as listed on the Role Description.

How to apply:

To apply, please submit the following:

  • Your current CV or resume, including referees.
  • A cover letter (1-2 pages) addressing how your experience, skills and values align with the key responsibilities and expectations outlined in the Role Description.
