About the Team
The Head to Health Kids Queensland (H2HK-Q) Brisbane Service is a secondary-level child development, mental health, and wellbeing service supporting children aged 0–12 years who are experiencing emerging complexities related to mental health and/or developmental concerns. A formal diagnosis is not required to access the service.
The service provides free, early intervention support to children and their families, focusing on developmental, behavioural, and emotional challenges. H2HK-Q aims to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes by reducing family stress, strengthening relationships, and enhancing overall functioning within the child's support system.
H2HK-Q Brisbane delivers multidisciplinary care through a team of allied health, nursing, medical, and lived experience professionals. The service is designed to complement and enhance existing health and social services, ensuring children and families receive coordinated, holistic support.
While governed by Children's Health Queensland, the service operates as a community-focused model, working closely with local partners to improve accessibility and responsiveness to community needs. Services are currently delivered across North Brisbane (Caboolture–Morayfield) and South Brisbane (Yarrabilba–Logan), supporting families within these regions.
