The role:
eHealth Infrastructure Technology Solutions (eHITS) requires a skilled and experienced Cabling Infrastructure designer (RCDD) to manage, assess and / or undertake, the design, planning and implementation of ICT physical infrastructure solutions to support the delivery of eHealth and Hospital and Health Services (HHS), ensuring alignment with all applicable standards and best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.
You will:
- Specify and design or review complex ICT physical infrastructure solutions,
- Collaborate with other SMEs to recommend the strategy of how to migrate Queensland Health facilities to proposed solutions
- Document the design standards, methods, and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures effective application.
- Manage and mentor a small team of ICT staff working on ICT infrastructure and delivery across the state.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of your technical specialism and provide expert advice regarding their application. Lead the assessment, analysis, development, documentation, and implementation planning of complex IM/ICT changes, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations.
Are you right for this role?
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, compliance, and delivery of ICT physical infrastructure solutions to industry best practice frameworks for large scale, complex IM/ICT program/project(s), preferably in the health care industry. (SFIA Skill: ITMG: Level 5, HSIN: Level 4)
You will also have experience in designing ICT physical infrastructure solutions across multiple sites and scales providing expert knowledge in relevant design standards, techniques and methods and tools for large scale complex organisations. (SFIA Skill: DESN: Level 4, METL: 5)
You will possess well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing, Collaborative working). You will have a demonstrated ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary project team. (NHS: Leading change through people)
Bicsi RCDD credential, Fluke CCTT and ACMA open registration with mandatory endorsements in structured cabling, coax, optical fiber, aerial and underground are a requirement of this role.
Experience in auditing complex infrastructure for compliance to standards, as well as a highly developed understanding of infrastructure- related standards are both highly desirable.
A Class C drivers license is essential for this role.
