Biloela Hospital is a proud 19-bed facility serving as the heartbeat of the Banana Shire. We are dedicated to delivering amazing care through innovation, including advanced Telehealth and midwifery-led models. About the role:

  • Lead the operational and clinical management of the maternity unit and outreach services.
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, evidence-based, woman-centred care across all stages of pregnancy.
  • Drive clinical governance and quality improvement to maintain the highest standards of safety.
  • Act as a mentor and clinical expert, supporting staff toward endorsed midwife status.
  • Manage unit resources, including workforce planning and fiscal responsibilities.
  • Foster a culture of cultural safety and health equity within the midwifery team.

About you:

  • You are a Registered Midwife with current AHPRA registration.
  • You hold a relevant postgraduate qualification or are actively working toward one.
  • You bring advanced clinical knowledge and a collaborative approach to complex care.
  • You are a transformational leader who inspires engagement and professional growth.
  • You have experience managing the operational demands of a clinical unit.
  • You are deeply committed to providing culturally responsive care for all families.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $173,368 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary bewteen $139,951 - $151,949 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
