Your new role:
As Deputy Director, Obstetrics, you will work in partnership with the Director to provide clinical leadership and help shape a high-performing Level 5 Obstetrics and Gynaecology service by:
- Sharing responsibility for leadership, strategy and operational management of Obstetrics services
- Delivering high-quality specialist clinical care, including after-hours and rostered services as required
- Supporting maternity service growth across Logan and Beaudesert catchment areas
- Leading workforce development, education and a culture of continuous improvement
- Driving patient safety, quality governance and service performance outcomes
- Supervising registrars, junior medical staff and supporting multidisciplinary learning
- Contributing to research, innovation and evidence-based models of care
About you:
You are a collaborative and experienced senior clinician who brings strong leadership capability and a passion for women's healthcare, with:
- Fellowship of RANZCOG (or equivalent) and eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated specialist expertise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Strong operative obstetrics skills highly regarded
- Proven leadership experience in complex clinical environments
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and person-centred care
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, mentor and resolve issues effectively
- Experience building positive multidisciplinary teams and service excellence cultures

Logan Hospital:
Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
