About us:
Emerald Hospital is a 36-bed facility and a primary hub for the region, featuring two operating theatres and a busy maternity service. Our service model operates as one service, multiple sites, meaning you will also support our Multi-Purpose Health Services in Blackwater and Springsure. We are proud to be accredited for fellowship training with both ACRRM and RACGP, ensuring our doctors receive high-quality, supervised experience in rural medicine.
About the role:
- Provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient medical services under the guidance of Senior Medical Staff.
- Manage patient care holistically, from initial assessment and investigation to clinical care planning and discharge.
- Maintain comprehensive and concise documentation including discharge summaries and clinical handovers.
- Participate in a 24-hour shift roster to ensure continuous, safe service delivery for the community.
- Engage in clinical audits and quality programs to continuously improve patient outcomes.
- Assist in the professional development and support of medical students.
About you:
- You hold an MBBS or equivalent and are eligible for registration with AHPRA.
- You possess current Life Support Qualifications (such as ACLS, APLS, or EMST).
- You have demonstrated clinical experience and skills at the PHO level.
- You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment.
- You communicate effectively and compassionately with both staff and patients.
- You are committed to ongoing education and willing to participate in teaching at various levels.
- You understand the vital importance of quality, safety, and risk management in healthcare.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $177,890 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $67.83 - $78.24 p.h. (L4 - L7; L4 - L9) OR
- A salary rate between $134,489 - $155,125 p.a. (L4 - L7; L4 - L9)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
