The Principal Project Officer within QPACH in the Operational Capacity and Continuity Division of the Department reports to the Manager, QPACH. The role is responsible for managing the core operations and implementing various business strategies to strengthen its effectiveness and maximise its value proposition.

Your Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of QPACH within a multidisciplinary team environment, implementing directed business strategies to ensure efficient core functions, improve operational effectiveness, and achieve organisational objectives.
- Engage with Hospital and Health Service's patient flow representatives to confirm current capacity status, predicted capacity, emerging issues and their ability to respond.
- Collaboratively lead daily huddles attended by Hospital and Health Services, Queensland Ambulance Service, Retrieval Services Queensland, and the Department's divisions.
Role fit
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Highly effective interpersonal and high-level strategic written communication skills, including proven ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders and cultivate productive working relationships and networks.
- Comprehensive understanding of the complex adaptive healthcare system and the critical touchpoints within the patient journey that drive patient flow and influence operational performance.
- Comprehensive understanding of the public health sector, including knowledge of the Queensland Health environment, preferably with an understanding of clinical service delivery.
The role will be required to participate in a rotating roster covering extended operating hours (6:00am to 9:00pm weekdays and 8:00am to 8:00pm weekends), with appropriate remuneration provided in accordance with the relevant award.
