Metro North Mental Health is seeking a Staff Psychiatrist to deliver specialist youth mental health care within the headspace model. This role provides consultation‑liaison, clinical in‑reach, and direct psychiatric care to adolescents and young people aged 12–25 years, supporting integrated, recovery‑oriented pathways across headspace, CYMHS, and adult services.

About the role
Reporting to the Clinical Director, MNMH Redcliffe–Caboolture, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to strengthen access, continuity of care, and clinical capability across multiple headspace centres.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide assessment and treatment to consumers with mental disorders within Metro North Mental Health facilities.
- The Staff Psychiatrist may have primary responsibility with a specific service team and will be flexible to provide support to assist with leave cover.
- Assist the relevant Director and other senior staff in planning and implementing policy for the development of child and adolescent mental health services in the Hospital Health Service.
- Provide high quality specialist clinical leadership and oversight to the multidisciplinary team.
