About the role
Fixed term temporary, full‑time opportunity to deliver advanced Occupational Therapy clinical services of a complex and varied nature within an inpatient setting at Caboolture Hospital, provide senior professional leadership to the Occupational Therapy team, support high‑level clinical reasoning and shared decision‑making, supervise and develop staff and students, and contribute to multidisciplinary collaboration, clinical governance and service advancement initiatives.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver high level, consumer centred Occupational Therapy skills of a complex and varied nature to support shared decision making for patients.
- Utilise continuous high-level problem solving and critical thinking skills to support independent clinical reasoning and professional judgement in Occupational Therapy clinical practice within one or more complex caseloads.
- Initiate and provide high level Occupational Therapy clinical advice to the multidisciplinary and Occupational Therapy team to ensure services are patient centred, integrated and efficient.
- Collaborate at a work unit/service area level and/or across disciplines to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes applying conflict resolution and negotiation skills where necessary
