Your new Role:

The Nurse Practitioner (Emergency) provides advanced clinical leadership and comprehensive patient care at the Marie Rose Centre, delivering 24/7 emergency services to the North Stradbroke Island community. Working within a collaborative model, you will assess, diagnose, treat and refer patients across complex and unpredictable presentations, while driving evidence-based practice, service innovation and system improvement. This role champions nurse-led models of care, enhances patient flow and integration, and contributes to quality, safety and performance outcomes in a rural and remote healthcare environment.

About You:

You are an experienced and autonomous Nurse Practitioner with advanced emergency expertise, committed to delivering high-quality care in a rural and remote setting.

  • Endorsed NP with 5+ years' emergency/acute care experience
  • Advanced assessment, diagnosis and clinical decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to lead nurse-led models and drive service improvement
  • Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Bayside Health Service

Bayside Health Service delivers hospital and community-based care across five sites, including Redland Hospital and the Marie Rose Centre on North Stradbroke Island. Services span emergency, primary care, acute and subacute medicine, surgery, maternity, paediatrics and mental health.

The Marie Rose Centre is a rural and remote facility providing 24/7 emergency care to island residents and visitors, with daytime clinic hours and after-hours on-call and telehealth support to ensure continuous, evidence-based care.
