The role:
Reporting to the Director, Strategic Workforce and Capability Support (SWCS), the Organisational Change and Training Manager will oversee and manage the organisational change and training activities of cyber security projects. The role will develop business change and training strategies to support the delivery of large-scale, complex and interdependent cyber security initiatives, through the successful implementation and leadership of sustainable, transformative change to realise the benefits of these initiatives and associated operational activities.
The role will deliver change management, in partnership with other change leaders at the SWCS level, as a cohesive service, leveraging strong relationships and shared leadership to drive alignment, consistency, and sustained organisational change. The role will be required to strategise, design and implement change management, training and communication strategies to maximise workforce adoption and usage of new cyber security solutions with minimal resistance.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for:
- leading and managing the creation of change management strategies, plans and action plans to ensure all change management activities are identified, scheduled and managed across the lifecycle of each business implementation.
- Providing strategic change management advice in relation to assessment, analysis, documentation and implementation of approved change management methodologies, including the evaluation and management of risks and issues.
- Leading and managing Business Change Impact Assessments, development of change responses, training and business readiness activities relating to new business processes, system changes and solution related changes.
- Providing expert advice and strategic input into the development of organisational change and training deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with Queensland Health policies, strategies and architecture.
- Enabling informed decision making on organisational change and training related project issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers for project stakeholders.
- Supporting the Project/Program Managers in ensuring project outcomes are achieved and project management capability is developed and maintained within the Division by leading, managing and directing multi-disciplinary project team/s.
- Representing the program as required in high level and often complex communications, collaboration, negotiations and other interactions with clients, vendors and other key stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively with key business stakeholders to develop change management documentation, materials and presentations necessary to implement, reinforce and sustain transformational change.
- Ensuring resource flexibility and capability to identify and deliver stakeholder engagement, communication and training activities to support the successful delivery of ICT initiatives.
Are you right for this role?
To be successful in the role, you will have the proven ability and success in transformational change management and leadership relating to business change projects focussed on Cyber projects, including enabling of benefits realisation, stakeholder engagement, and communications and training within a large complex organisation-wide project environment.
Furthermore, you will have proven negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environment, with demonstrated ability to provide advice, consultation and collaboration with senior management and a diverse range of stakeholders on complex and strategic issues.
