What your day could look like
As a Clinical Nurse, you'll play a vital role in supporting adults, families, and communities across the Western Downs to achieve better mental health outcomes. From delivering care in people's homes and communities to guiding clinical decisions and strengthening team practice, your work will create positive, lasting impact.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering high‑quality mental health care that supports recovery, stability, and independence
- Leading clinical decision‑making and coordinating care with multidisciplinary partners
- Building strong relationships with consumers, families, and community services
- Championing safe, evidence‑based practice and continuous improvement across the service
Let's Talk About You
You're a clinician who combines skill with genuine care. You bring compassion into every interaction, act with integrity when decisions matter most, and value dignity — for your patients, colleagues, and yourself. You're confident working autonomously, yet thrive on collaboration, knowing the best outcomes are achieved together. What will make you proud is seeing people regain confidence, connection, and hope because of the care you've helped deliver.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with authority to practise in Australia
- Experience delivering adult mental health care, ideally within community settings
- Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and recovery‑focused practice
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the region
You'll stand out from the crowd if you bring experience in rural or regional practice and/or postgraduate study or professional credentials in mental health.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation, and courage — and wants to make a meaningful difference where it's truly felt.
This role is about improving lives, strengthening communities, and leading care with heart and purpose.
