What your day could look like
As an Anaesthetic Technician or Registered Nurse - Anaesthetics, you'll play a vital role in supporting safe surgery and positive patient experiences at Toowoomba Hospital. From preparing people for life‑changing procedures to working side by side with multidisciplinary teams, your contribution will be felt at every stage of care.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Supporting safe, high‑quality anaesthetic care before, during and after procedures
- Partnering closely with anaesthetists, nurses and theatre teams to achieve the best outcomes
- Responding calmly and confidently in complex or time‑critical situations
- Contributing ideas that strengthen safety, learning and continuous improvement

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse (with relevant anaesthetic experience) or qualification as an Anaesthetic Technician
- Demonstrated experience supporting anaesthetic services in acute or perioperative settings
- The ability to collaborate, communicate clearly and adapt in fast‑paced environments
- A commitment to quality care, safety and continuous learning
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in regional or rural health settings and/or additional training or postgraduate study in perioperative or anaesthetic practice.
