What your day could look like

As an Occupational Therapist, you'll play a vital role in supporting recovery and independence for people experiencing severe mental health challenges. Working within a mobile, multidisciplinary team, you'll blend clinical expertise with compassion to help people re‑engage with everyday life and achieve what matters most to them.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Partnering with consumers, families and carers to deliver recovery‑focused, strengths‑based occupational therapy that drives real life outcomes
  • Collaborating with mental health clinicians and community services to create joined‑up care that supports safety, participation and wellbeing
  • Using evidence‑based practice and sound judgement to assess needs, plan interventions and adapt care for increasingly complex situations
  • Contributing to service improvement, learning and supervision that strengthen practice across the team and support positive change

Let's Talk About You

You're someone who shows up with empathy and purpose, balancing clinical skill with genuine human connection. You value dignity and integrity, think creatively to solve problems, and have the courage to contribute your voice within a team that supports growth and learning. You'll feel proud knowing your work helps people reclaim independence and build a future with hope.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current Australian registration
  • Experience or emerging capability in mental health practice and recovery‑oriented care
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, values‑driven approach to teamwork
  • Ability to manage your workload and grow confidence in complex clinical decision making

You'll stand out if you bring experience in community or acute mental health settings and/or a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage—helping deliver care that truly makes a difference.

This role creates lasting impact by supporting recovery, strengthening community wellbeing, and living our values every day.
