In this role, you will lead, manage and undertake the development, delivery and evaluation of system planning and strategic projects and programs in alignment with national and state policy and strategic objectives, including the initiatives and priorities of the Easier Access to Health Services Plan, the National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Agreement and Better Care Together: a plan for Queensland’s state-funded mental health, alcohol and other drug services to 2027.

Your Key responsibilities:
- Manage the development, delivery and evaluation of strategic policy, planning and statewide and/or complex projects within a project management framework.
- Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across government and non-government sectors, professional groups, consumers, families, carers and community organisations.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop effective and innovative responses to better meet the health and service needs of people through the state funded MHAOD service system.
Role fit
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Proven high-level ability to successfully manage the development, delivery and evaluation of strategic, state-wide policy or planning and/or complex projects, preferably in a health or other intersecting portfolio environment.
- Ability to utilise high-level strategic, conceptual, analytical and research skills to underpin planning, policy and strategy development, preferably in a health or other intersecting portfolio environment.
- Demonstrated high-level capacity to collaborate, consult and negotiate with diverse stakeholders, including experience in cultivating productive working relationships and partnerships.
