Ripley Specialised Inpatient Serevice
Start a new journey with West Moreton Health! The purpose of this role is to deliver Social Work clinical services as a part of a rotational arrangement to provide optimal, responsive, and flexible Social Work services in acute and community settings.
You will work in a multidisciplinary environment and have a core focus on delivering clinical services across the continuum of care. This role will include a focus on delivering interventions for patients with range of diseases, and a caseload focussing on strategies to maintain and improve health, functional ability and quality of life, and admission avoidance.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Competence and experience in delivering Social Work clinical services in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) Code of Ethics and Professional Practice Standards using well developed psychosocial assessments and intervention skills and practice evidence informed clinical care, counselling, group work and advocacy in the health care system.
- Commitment and leadership for active and ongoing professional development and supervision to meet the CPD hours set by the AASW.
- Knowledge, expertise, and skill in the provision of Social Work services using evidence-based practice that adhere to defined service standards.
- Ability to apply effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills when communicating with consumers and colleagues, including the undertaking of psycho-social assessments, correspondence with service providers and clinical reports and the provision of practice within the medico legal requirements.
- Work effectively through active participation in teams and positively influence culture.
- Ability to participate in quality or service improvement activities within the work unit.
- Ability to manage own caseload, with supervision appropriate for experience.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- This role provides health, counselling and support services that involve children and will require a blue card.
