Nurse Practitioner Cystic Fibrosis
Queensland Children's Hospital, South Brisbane
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide and coordinate comprehensive care of patients using advanced practice skills in cystic fibrosis. The role of the Cystic Fibrosis Nurse Practitioner in 5a Respiratory and Sleep Unit will function in a collaborative model with the healthcare team to provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and referral as required. Provide safe, quality, cost effective care and practice within the Nurse Practitioner’s approved Practice Scope that is consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-based practice.

About the Team
The 5a Respiratory & Sleep Medicine Service provides clinical, educational and support services for respiratory and sleep disorders at CSCF Level 6 for children and young people from birth to 16 years of age (and up to 18 years for established paediatric patients).
Cystic Fibrosis Service
The cystic fibrosis service provides comprehensive and coordinated inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory care through local and outreach centres across Queensland. The service also provides telephone support and liaison with regional GP's, outreach multi-disciplinary staff and external organisations. The CF service provides support to other stakeholders including ward nursing staff, connected care, CHQ at Home, telehealth services, Cystic Fibrosis Research Group and works collaboratively with all other services within QCH.
About the Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.
You'll fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 8 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
