Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $75,740 to $82,836 p.a. (OO4)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

The Support Services Department provides the essential operational services (environmental cleaning, patient services, waste, and linen) in support to clinical service delivery across the Townsville University Hospital campus, the Kirwan Health campus and four Townsville Community Health sites. The Area Coordinator, Support Services Department, is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the environmental cleaning and patient support services at the Townsville University Hospital working a 24/7 roster.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in the following would be preferred: Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (BSB 42015 or equivalent) completed or enrolled with a commitment to complete.
  • The possession of a licence to operate a class “C” motor vehicle is required.
  • Highly regarded: Demonstrated experience in coordinating a large diverse team to achieve service delivery outcomes.
  • Highly regarded: Demonstrated knowledge of environmental cleaning procedures, patient assistance techniques, best practice, and quality management principles.
