About us:
The Cairns and Hinterland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services (MHAODS) is responsible for delivering Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and for supporting other Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services in the surrounding Hospital and Health Services of Cape York, Torres Strait Northern Peninsula Area. Its primary objective is to ensure access to a comprehensive range of treatment and support services, clinical treatment, rehabilitation, disability support, as well as early intervention, and mental health prevention and promotion.

About your opportunity:
- Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within clinical service area and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of forensic mental health services.
- Maintain the currency and high quality of forensic mental health and clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise by actively contributing to and participating in professional development activities, including practice supervision.
- Provide discipline specific Child and Youth Mental Health services (CYMHS) as required.
