About the role
As the Infrastructure Safety and Compliance Officer, you will act as Metro North Health's specialist authority for workplace health and safety governance across Capital Infrastructure Delivery (CID) construction activities. This role provides end‑to‑end oversight of safety systems and assurance processes, supporting project teams to meet their statutory obligations while embedding consistent, best‑practice safety standards across all stages of project delivery.

- Ensure that confidentiality is always maintained in accordance with Queensland Health and Metro North Health policies and procedures.
- Comply with policies, procedures, standards and guidelines relevant to the position, including human resource management, workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies.
- This position will be responsible for reviewing and approving all CID Principal Contractor construction safety management plans, Safe Work Method Statements, Health and Safety project documentation, high risk work applications, audit principal contractor safety inspection reports and all other related construction safety documentation relevant to the CID program.
- This position will provide Health and Safety audits of principal contractors' sites, documentation and processes to ensure they are operating in accordance with best practice processes and compliance with relevant legislation including the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld), Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011, and the Electrical Safety Act 2002 (Qld)
