About the role
Temporary part-time opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative nursing team. This role focuses on providing hands‑on support with nursing care activities under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, contributing to safe, high‑quality, and consumer‑centred care. You will play an important role in supporting individuals' wellbeing while working closely with nurses to deliver compassionate and respectful care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Assist in the provision of nursing and midwifery team support and undertake delegated actions in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) of Australia Decision Making Framework.
- Respond appropriately and report sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/person to the registered nurse.
- Function in accordance with legislation when undertaking activities as delegated to provide an environment and care that is safe and relevant for individuals and groups.
- Assist in identifying risks and opportunities for improvement and change to promote safe work activities, report workplace incidents and participate in collaborative review of systems and processes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development by attending education and training sessions relevant to the area of practice.
