About the role
Temporary full-time opportunity to contribute to enhanced outpatient revenue outcomes through high‑quality administrative, billing, and stakeholder liaison support.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Ability to achieve deadlines, establish work priorities, and organising of daily functions relevant to the role in an autonomous environment while being able to work as part of a team in order to manage workloads.
- Obtain named referrals for new and review appointments, to ensure all patients have a valid referral to enable bulk billing for outpatient services by following the approved processes.
- Have high attention to detail to be able to process outpatient accounts to Medicare Australia and Department of Veterans Affairs using MediRecords, whilst ensuring at all times compliance is met in order to bill appointments.
- Liaise with patients and their representatives and with those to whom a service is provided or received, ensuring we provide the best service possible.
- Foster effective working relationships with Senior Administration Officer's and their teams, under the Central Billing Team portfolio, to promote service quality, responsiveness and compliance with established procedures and policies.
