Your new role:
As a Social Worker Senior within the Family LinQ Program, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based social work and therapeutic family interventions to children and their families, supporting early mental health outcomes in a collaborative care environment.
- Deliver assessments, therapeutic interventions, and mental health support to children (0–12) and families
- Work as a key clinical member within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to case discussions and care planning
- Provide supervision, guidance, and training to junior clinicians, students, and support staff
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives
About you:
You are an experienced and compassionate clinician who thrives in a team-based environment and is committed to improving outcomes for children and families.
- Strong clinical expertise in social work, family interventions, and child mental health
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage families, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in supervision, mentoring, and contributing to service improvement initiatives

About us:
The Metro South Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) provides comprehensive support to the varying needs of infants, children, young people, and their carers/families across the care continuum including the perinatal period. Metro South CYMHS covers the Logan, Beaudesert, and Redland catchment areas, and provides support across hospital, specialist, and community settings, and it made up of 17 teams/units in total.'
CYMHS works in partnership with other agencies to provide mental health services within the Family LinQ program. Family LinQ is a school-based hub approach supported by the Bryan Foundation, Queensland Health and Department of Education, which aims to enhance the life outcomes of Queensland children and their families.
