The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Solution Architect to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Contribute to the successful delivery of solution architecture services for digital projects
- Provide authoritative and timely advice to inform the planning and delivery of digital projects
- Develop and maintain technical solution architecture designs
- Translate business needs for information systems into effective options
- Design data integration and data migration activities
About you
- While not mandatory, the following would be well regarded:
- Five or more years' experience in the delivery of solution architecture for complex digital or ICT projects and delivering services to large, complex organisations preferably in the healthcare sector.
- A relevant degree or tertiary level qualifications in Information Technology, Software Engineering or Computer Science would be well regarded.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (12 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $140 115- $150 371 per annum
About Us
The Digital Health and Innovation (DHI) division has been established to drive significant service improvements and digital transformation opportunities, in alignment with the strategic objectives outlined in the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Services Strategic Plan 2028.
The DHI portfolio consists of interconnected functional business units and teams, including Digital Project Delivery, Digital Experience, Technology Operations, Health Information and Digital Security and Architecture.
DHI is responsible for enhancing efficiency and service delivery improvements to optimise Health Service performance. It also oversees strategic partnerships that help the Health Service implement alternative models of service delivery, ensuring value for money, and driving improvements in performance, and innovation Technology Operations is part of the Digital and Information stream within the division. The service provides:
- Application change requests and optimisation
- Application hosting services
- Applications management and provisioning
- Audio-visual support services
- Clinical system workflow support and adoption
- Cyber security services and support
- Digital architecture services
- End user support services
- Hospital technology infrastructure services
