About us:

The Maternal and Child Health Service (MACHS) provides a multidisciplinary primary community care services for children and their families who reside in the Rockhampton, Gracemere, and Mount Morgan geographical areas.

The MACHS provides a child centred, family focus health service, which includes promotion of health and development, early detection, early intervention, and care planning. This is achieved through enhancing opportunities for families to access support, developing linkages with community groups, building confidence and capabilities, and enhancing relationships between children and families.

About the role:

  • Be accountable at an advance level for leading and coordinating the Child and Youth Health Services to achieve best practice standards for clinical practice, patient centred care within a Healthcare team and is responsible for the provisions of effective and efficient human, material, and financial resource management.
  • Responsible for enacting strategies that support a work-based culture that promotes and supports education, learning, research and workforce development.
  • Advanced level of decision making in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, while undertaking operational leadership.
  • Work collectively to apply the principles of clinical governance.

About you:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Professional Registration – Possession and Maintenance of Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory.
  • Post-Graduate qualification in Child, Adolescent and Family Health is mandatory.
  • Whilst not mandatory, qualifications as a Nurse Immuniser and / or a Lactation Consultant would be highly regarded.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $14,447 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
