The role
The Senior Test Consultant will lead all aspects of testing for the implementation of large scale and complex Identity Access Management (IAM) solution and provide specialist advice whilst ensuring alignment with contemporary IM/ICT frameworks.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead systems testing design and improvement methodologies to ensure systems can be migrated from a development environment through to implementation within quality assurance guidelines
- Liaise with and provide advice to project teams as an internal specialist consultant, in order to correctly interpret what is required of the testing process and provide leadership, advice and communicate testing outcomes
- Ensure the implementation of quality testing methods to align with best practice ICT testing frameworks which encompasses strategies, policies, processes, templates, tools and standards
- Develop project Test Strategy and Test Plan(s) within a requirements and risks based testing and assurance framework
- Manage various types of testing in line with the Test Strategy, including the provision and management of multiple test environments, technical support, and documentation reviews
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of testing and technical specialists and provides expert advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Demonstrated experience in the planning of the system and acceptance tests and an excellent understanding of testing methodologies, tools and techniques within a large, complex IM/ICT program/project(s) environment (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 5)
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of quality testing methods and frameworks to ensure the integrity of testing and an ability to develop test strategies, test products and cases (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 5)
- Demonstrated experience in all phases of testing, including plans, resources, costs, timescales, automation, test deliverables and auditability for large, complex IM/ICT program (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 5)
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and external technology vendors to partner with and engage them in delivering the required IM/ICT outcomes
- Experience in specifying and developing test scenarios to ensure user acceptance and records and analyses test results, and reports any unexpected or unsatisfactory outcomes
- Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of testing requirements within a complex IM/ICT environment
- Demonstrated experience in administration, test design and automation with preference in using TOSCA or with the ability to quickly gain the skills to use TOSCA.
