The Clinical Information and Birth Suite teams are seeking an experienced and client focused Medical Records and Birth Suite Continuous Shift Reliever.

This role encompasses shiftwork, including afternoon shifts, night shifts, weekends and public holidays as we ensure round-the-clock support to meet patient needs.

About your opportunity

To provide administrative systems support in relation to confidential clinical records/information (digital and paper) within a hospital setting.  This role contributes to patient flow by ensuring clinical records and information are available for clinicians to provide timely patient care.

This role delivers exceptional person-centred customer service to patients, their families and the public.

This role works collaboratively as a member of the administrative team and provides quality support to deliver a high standard of organisational and patient-focused outcomes in both Medical Records and Birth Suite.

This role contributes to creating an exceptional place to work by consistently aligning workplace behaviours and organisational values.

This role encompasses shiftwork, including afternoon shifts, night shifts, weekends and public holidays as we ensure round-the-clock support to meet patient needs. 

PLEASE NOTE: 
This is a temporary full-time position three (3) months with the possibility of extention up to not exceeding 12 months. 

The ideal application will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated experience and high-level skills using the Microsoft Office 365 suite and corporate/patient information systems and databases.
  • Integrity: Demonstrates sound decision making, proven ability to work effectively as an individual with limited supervision and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and ensures work output and decisions are ethical and of a high standard
  • Compassion: Demonstrates patient/client focus, patience, understanding, confidentiality and can navigate through ambiguity, including the ability to deescalate difficult situations
  • Accountability: Demonstrated ability at engaging in coordinating tasks and workflow, is action oriented, takes ownership, drives results and delivers exceptional person-centred care to patients, families and the community
  • Respect: Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills with the proven ability to manage conflict, communicates appropriately and proficiently, and actively participates in a working environment supporting equity and diversity
  • Engagement: Proven ability to collaborate within a team to cultivate a strong unity, build effective relationships with diverse personalities and adapts to meet the needs of a changing work environment.

Requirements:

    • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

    • Salary range: $3038.50to $3379.10 p.f. (AO3)
    • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
    • 4  weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading
    • Locality allowance
    • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
