About the role
Temporary opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe, high quality anaesthetic support services at the Redcliffe Hospital through the Department of Anaesthesia. The role is responsible and accountable for delivering high quality outcomes within the ‘Equipment and Clinical Consumables' portfolio contributing to providing continuous quality outcomes
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Anaesthetic Healthcare Practitioner's rostering and leave management including deployment of AHP's throughout Redcliffe Hospital including operating theatres, endoscopy and other off-floor areas including assisting with allocations of staff according to demand and patient acuity. This role will involve collaboration with the Operating Theatre Nurse Unit Manager to co-ordinate rostering requirements with anaesthetic nursing allocations to support a blended model of Anaesthetic assistance.
- Highly effective communication interpersonal communication skills and ability to use negotiation and conflict management skills with inter-disciplinary team members, internal and external stakeholders, and leadership positions.
- Apply advanced knowledge and skill as an Anaesthetic Healthcare Practitioner to provide skilled assistance to prepare the anaesthetic environment and assist the anaesthetist for all elective and emergent anaesthetic procedures while working as part of the peri-operative team, undertaking tasks within scope of practice with minimal supervision.
