The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Sonographer - Senior (Vascular) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Consult with vascular surgeons and/or radiologists in the performance of examinations
- Report directly to the medical director of Vascular surgery
- Assist students, graduate staff and surgical registrars in training
- Independently perform high quality vascular ultrasound
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Possession of a qualification in Graduate / Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Medical Ultrasound from a registered tertiary institution
- Status as an Accredited Medical Sonographer (General) with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary part time (up to 6 months, 16 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

Gold Coast University Hospital Vascular Laboratory provides inpatient and outpatient services to patients of Gold Coast Health by performing a full range of diagnostic vascular ultrasound scans and investigations.
