Your new role:
As a Nurse Practitioner within the Bayside Emergency Department Mental Health Team, you will provide expert, autonomous care to consumers presenting with complex mental health and behavioural concerns. Working in a fast-paced ED setting, you'll play a key role in improving patient flow, outcomes, and models of care.
- Deliver rapid, advanced mental health assessments, diagnosis, and interventions in the ED
- Prescribe and implement evidence-based treatment and care plans within scope of practice
- Lead and support patient flow, ensuring timely decisions, referrals, and continuity of care
- Drive service improvement and innovation, contributing to evolving ED mental health models
About you:
You are a confident and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner who thrives in high-pressure environments and is passionate about delivering person-centred mental health care.
- Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with advanced experience in mental health (ED experience highly regarded)
- Strong clinical judgement with the ability to assess and manage complex, acute presentations
- Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative and compassionate approach to care
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and contribute to quality improvement and service innovation
