What your day could look like
As a Clinical Nurse within EPIC, you'll play a critical role in supporting young people experiencing early psychosis to reclaim their health, purpose and connection. From providing person‑centred clinical care to working collaboratively with families and partners, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team creating meaningful outcomes for the Darling Downs community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering holistic, recovery‑oriented mental health care that promotes safety, choice and independence
- Building strong therapeutic relationships with consumers and families, supporting them through complex and often vulnerable moments
- Collaborating across health, primary care and community services to coordinate integrated, timely support
- Applying clinical judgement, innovation and evidence‑based practice to improve care experiences and outcomes
Let's talk about you!
You bring both clinical confidence and genuine compassion to your work. You understand the importance of early intervention and take pride in helping young people and families find hope at a critical point in their lives. Guided by integrity, dignity and courage, you work collaboratively, think creatively and remain calm when it matters most. You're here to make a real difference, not just deliver care.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Experience in mental health nursing, ideally with young people or community‑based services
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in early psychosis services, rural or regional practice, and/or postgraduate mental health qualifications.
Most importantly, you'll share the Darling Downs Health values of compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage—bringing them to life through every interaction, every day.
