We are looking for a motivated Administration Officer to join our diverse team. The Administration Officer provides a key role in the Workforce Strategy Branch (WSB) by assisting in the development, delivery and evaluation of strategic policy and advice including project support, administration functions, advice and assistance as required.
What you'll do
As an Administration Officer, you will deliver high‑level administrative and secretariat support to management, meetings and committees, including correspondence, records management, coordination of meetings, and preparation of papers and minutes. You will contribute to reviews of policies, processes and systems, and assist with the preparation of accurate and timely briefing notes, submissions and other written materials. The role maintains effective and efficient administrative processes to ensure compliance with corporate, financial and legislative requirements, while working collaboratively with stakeholders across the Division and Department to support Queensland Health's objectives.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy team environment and respond to issues at short notice by adjusting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to take direction, set priorities and manage workloads to meet agreed timelines, working both autonomously and collaboratively to deliver operational outcomes.
- Sound office management, administrative and project support skills, including maintaining efficient workflows, using workplace systems and procedures effectively, and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
