About the role
Provide leadership and innovative direction in Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drug (MHAOD) information systems by consulting with the Nursing Director of Clinical Governance and Informatics. Collaborate with service line directors, executive leaders, and stakeholders across Metro North Health and the state to manage and implement MHAOD systems. Develop strategies and processes to enhance key IT initiatives, ensuring optimised outcomes for consumers, their families, carers, and staff.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Facilitate practice of self and others in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Undertake, and participate in ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
- Accountable for effective and cost-efficient management of hospital resources and services within and available to Clinical Informatics in collaboration with the Nursing Director, Clinical Governance and Informatics and the Executive Director. Metro North Mental Health (MNMH).
- Practice collaboratively within the interprofessional health care team to promote the safety, security and personal integrity of individuals and groups.
